Thiothixene is an antipsychotic of the thioxanthene series and is considered the conventional or even typical antipsychotic medication. These are the thioxanthene derivative & is the cis isomer of N,Ndimethyl-
9-[3-(4-methyl-1-piperazinyl)-propylidene] thioxanthene-Two-sulfonamide. Although widely utilized in the professional assistance of schizophrenia for several decades, navane is rarely utilized now in favour atypical antipsychotics such as olanzapine.
